Puyallup Real Estate Market Activity For February 2015 – By Puyallup Real Estate Agent Alain Picard

The Puyallup Real Estate Market put up some more big numbers for the month of February. Year over year, we saw double digit increases in Average Listing Prices, Number of Pending Home Sales, Number of Sales, Average Sales Prices, and Number of New Listings. If you are currently thinking about buying a home, you would most likely benefit by doing so sooner rather than later as home prices and interest rates are widely expected to increase throughout 2015. The Average Listing Price for homes in February increased more than $16,000.00 compared to the month prior and while that is a pretty big increase for just one month, we will probably see the average listing price continue to go up throughout this year. Current sellers know that there is a shortage of listings on the market and are taking advantage of this. Pending Home Sales showed another huge increase year over year which means buyers are actively engaged in the real estate market. For the month of February, there were about 195 Pending Home Sales in Puyallup which was an increase of about 14.7% compared to the month prior and about 71% compared to the same time last year. The Puyallup Real Estate Market added about 190 new listings in the month of February which was about 5% less than the Number of New Listings added in January but was an increase of about 11.76% compared to the same time last year. The Average Listing Price of Homes for Sale in Puyallup during the month of February was about $299,425.00, which was an increase of about 5.7% compared to the month prior and 16.9% compared to the same time last year. In February, there were about 125 Homes Sold in Puyallup which was an increase of about 11.6% compared to the month prior and 34.4% compared to the same time a year ago. The Average Sales Price for Homes in Puyallup during the month of February was about $265,318.00 which was about 2.75% higher than the month prior and about 12.4% higher than the same time last year. I believe that we will see more sellers putting their homes on the market in the month of March and we will see more buyers going under contract as well.
