Puyallup Real Estate Housing Market Update For November 2015 – By Puyallup Real Estate Agent Alain Picard

The Puyallup Real Estate Market continued in its end of the year slowdown for the month of November when compared to other months for 2015. While most of the data came in lower compared to the month prior, the Puyallup Real Estate Market was still up by a lot when compared to the same time last year with the Number of Pending Homes Sales being the most impressive number. For the month of November, there were about 171 Pending Homes Sales in Puyallup which was lower by about 7.6 percent compared to the month prior but almost twice as high (about 46.2 percent higher) as the same time last year. The Number of New Listings in Puyallup, WA was down by about 20.4 percent compared to the month prior, however the Number of New Listings was higher by about 13.2 percent year over year. The Average List Price for Homes in Puyallup, WA showed an increase of less than a quarter of a percent compared to the month prior and an increase of about 9.3 percent year over year. The Number of Home Sales in Puyallup, WA decreased by about 17.3 percent compared to the month prior and increased by about 27.4 percent year over year. The Average Sales Price for homes sold in Puyallup, WA increased by only about 0.35 percent compared to the month prior and increased by about 11.4 percent year over year. Once again, Real Estate Market activity in Puyallup is outpacing its performance compared to recent years and it doesn’t look like it will slow down to much going into 2016. With the Fed announcing today that they will raise their target interest rate by about 25 basis points for the first time since 2006, I think some buyers that have been on the fence about buying should really assess their situation and decide if buying now is a good idea. With the announcement of this interest rate hike, I believe that there will be even more rate hikes in 2016.
